About the dashboard

In the past decade, 3,615 pedestrians were reported to have been hit by a vehicle in Allegheny County. 147 were killed.

Crashes on our streets may seem random, but patterns in the data tell us otherwise. Some locations consistently see higher risks for pedestrians, who are more likely to be injured and killed than any other road user.

This dashboard identifies where crashes involving pedestrians are most likely to happen in Allegheny County. With that knowledge, we can more effectively prioritize safety countermeasures that will save lives and prevent injuries.
