I created a set of eighteen trifold maps while working at Grounded Strategies in 2016. While this was before I got my master's degree in GIS, it was the start of my love of making maps.
In collaboration with One Northside and residents, Grounded catalogued 1260 community treasures of Pittsburgh's Northside like museums, gardens, and murals. Based on that community knowledge, I created trail guides as trifold paper maps, one for each of the Northside's neighborhoods, so the public could explore these treasures.Â
